Newage S02 Samurai Ronin translates the IDW-inspired look of Drift into a compact transforming figure with a strong samurai identity. The white bodywork, red markings, layered armour and helmeted head create a clear visual link to the sword-wielding warrior without relying on an oversized display format.
Ronin changes between an articulated robot and a streamlined sports car. The exact official transformation step count has not been published, but the sculpt clearly integrates vehicle panels into the robot silhouette. Multiple joints support balanced sword stances, guarded poses and dynamic action displays while the compact proportions make the figure easy to combine with other small-scale releases.
The set includes multiple swords that can be arranged for different combat poses and stored or carried with the figure. The mix of mechanical car parts and samurai-shaped armour gives Ronin a distinct place within a Transformers collection, especially for fans who prefer comic-inspired interpretations rather than direct animation reproductions.
As a release from Newage, Ronin sits naturally in a broader Transformers third party display. Newage is known among collectors for compact transforming figures with detailed engineering and expressive articulation. This edition focuses on Drift’s IDW-inspired identity and gives the character a display presence that remains readable in both modes.

About Ronin and Drift
Ronin is based on Drift’s IDW comic interpretation: a sword-focused warrior whose history moves from the Decepticon identity Deadlock toward the Autobots. The samurai influences in his armour and weapons therefore serve the character’s story as well as the visual design.
This compact version is well suited to displays centred on Autobot side characters. Robot mode emphasises the disciplined warrior, while the sports-car mode recalls the speed and mobility that remain central to Drift’s appeal.
